A LITTLE WEB FACTORY BY JOANNE PALAZZETTI

Conway + Wise
Case Study

Industry — Interior Design Services — Web Design & Custom Code Location — Sydney, NSW Year — 2024

A refined website for Conway + Wise, a Sydney interior design and decoration studio — built around story, trust, visual calm and a clear presentation of their services, studio ethos and selected residential work.

The Brief

Translating an interior design studio’s quiet confidence into a digital experience.

Conway + Wise needed a website that could feel as considered as the interiors they create. The brand language was already rich with ideas of story, connection, collaboration and soulful transformation, so the digital design needed to support that rather than overpower it.

The site had to present the studio, the team, the selected projects and the decoration services clearly, while still giving the visitor a sense of restraint, warmth and refinement.

The Challenge

Make refinement feel accessible

Interior design can feel intimidating to potential clients. The website needed to communicate high-end design expertise while still feeling warm, human and easy to navigate. It also had to explain services such as interior decoration and Interior Scout without losing the emotional quality of the brand.

The Solution

Editorial pacing with clear service structure

The layout uses large imagery, restrained typography and generous spacing to create an editorial feel. Behind the visual calm, the structure gives visitors clear routes into the studio story, selected projects, decoration services, testimonials and contact.

The site needed to feel like an invitation into a beautifully considered space, not a catalogue of services.

Design Notes

The thinking behind the page

01

Story-led positioning

The homepage opens with the belief that every good design begins with a great story, giving the brand an emotional anchor before introducing services.

02

Service clarity

Decoration, sourcing, styling and shopping guidance are separated into clear sections so visitors can understand what is available and where to go next.

03

Portfolio credibility

Project pages such as Parsley Bay give space to the brief, scope, photography credits and the design response, helping the work feel substantial and credible.

04

Custom visual rhythm

Typography, spacing, image-led sections and understated movement work together to create a calm, polished experience without relying on heavy page-builder effects.

Story before selling

The site leads with the studio’s belief that every client journey begins with a story, making the brand feel thoughtful rather than purely transactional.

Work with context
