Editor’s letter

Grooming, as Couture.

Every dog who walks through our door gets the full treatment: an unhurried bath, a hand blow-dry and a cut considered as carefully as any on a runway. No cages, no rushing, one groomer per dog. Just good products, a calm room and a great deal of patience.

We have groomed more than four thousand dogs since 2017, from Chihuahuas to a Great Dane who did not fit the bath. Some arrive nervous; nearly all leave a little taller. We would like to meet yours.

The transformation

Before. After.

Waffles found a puddle. Then Waffles found us. Draw the line across to see three hours of very patient work.

AFTER: the same doodle freshly groomed, fluffy and proud, with a bow (same pose and angle as BEFORE)
BEFORE: a scruffy, muddy, matted doodle looking sheepish (same dog as AFTER, same pose and angle)

Moose in a blueberry facial, cucumbers by request.
A dog mid-shake after a bath, water droplets flying everywhere, face comically distorted
Pickle, mid-shake. We stand by the blow-dry.
A dog sitting under a retro salon hood dryer, reading a magazine, rollers in its ears
Sir Reginald catching up on the news.
