The house is set in a lake by a clearing in the forest, and its elevated position means that it enjoys stunning views of the lake and wider forestry. The large windows and open-plan design allow for plenty of natural light, and the spacious wraparound deck is the perfect spot for relaxing and taking in the sights and sounds of nature. The Forest House is a beautiful and tranquil retreat that sits harmoniously in its natural surroundings.

Our mission was to create a space that seamlessly melded with its picturesque surroundings while offering comfort and functionality. We began by selecting materials that echoed the natural elements of the forest, opting for sustainable, locally sourced wood and stone that complemented the exterior's aesthetic. The design focused on maximising natural light and views, achieved through strategically placed large windows and an open plan layout that seamlessly integrated the interior with the serene landscape outside.
